Absolutely stunning! Mabel's understanding of perspective, values, and depth are quite prevalent in this unique piece. Painting measures 18x24". Painting is titled: " Street Scene". Her typical medium was watercolor, so this piece is really something atypical. Was produced during a visit to her home country as a birthday gift in 1967. Has a handwritten calligraphy note to the recipient along with a quote from the classic German folk song by Peter Schreier - Im schonsten Wiesengrunde.
Mabel Feucht (1901-1992) was a noted and listed Colorado artist from Denver. She was president of the Denver Art Club and won first place in traditional watercolor at the club's 1961 Albany Hotel Exhibition.
